Fire and Ice Hydrangea
Description
The Fire and Ice Hydrangea is a hardy, compact, sun-loving shrub, known for a dramatic colour shift, with large, conical, creamy white flowers turning pink in summer and intense, fiery red in autumn. It is often the first panicle hydrangea to flower in the season, typically starting in June or July. It features attractive dark green leaves, often described as having unique red undertones or a greenish red hue throughout the season and a sturdy, upright branching habit that prevents the flowers from flopping, unlike some other hydrangea varieties. Thrives in full sun to partial shade. In warmer climates, afternoon shade is recommended to prevent heat stress.
