Cardinal Osier Dogwood
Description
Developed by the University of Minnesota in 1986 as a hybrid that was selected for its vibrant stem colour, this fast growing shrub offers white flowers in late spring and green leaves with a yellowish stems throughout the growing season. As the leaves change colour in the fall to bright red, the stems follow and turn to a vibrant orange-red for winter colour. Mainly used to control ground erosion or in mass plantings, but can also be used for hedging, borders, or as a specimen.
