Description
Halcyon Hosta is a popular, dwarf style, clump forming perennial known for its thick, heavily ribbed, spear shaped leaves that emerge a striking blue in spring, often retaining this colour well into the summer. Pale lavender or lilac bell shaped flowers appear in mid to late summer often reaching up to 28 inches tall. Perfers part shade for best colour, however, avoid harsh afternoon sun as it will scorch and melt the waxy blue coating on the leaves.
