Description
Guacamole Hosta is a popular, large perennial known for its glossy, apple green leaves with dark green margins and highly fragrant lavender flowers. The center of the leaf often turns a brighter gold during the summer or when exposed to more sunlight. Large, funnel shaped, pale lavender blooms appear in late summer reaching up to 3 feet tall. These flowers are noted for their lily like fragrance. This variety thrives in partial shade and is one of the most sun tolerant hostas. It performs best with 4–6 hours of morning sun but should be protected from harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorch.
