Goodland Apple
Description
The Goodland apple is a highly popular, cold hardy variety prized for its ability to thrive in northern climates (Zones 2–3) and produces large, juicy fruit that is excellent for fresh eating, baking, and making aromatic applesauce. Featuring showy, lightly scented, pink buds that open to white flowers in mid spring. The fruit is large, with creamy yellow green skin and a bright red blush. The flesh is white, crisp, and tender with a refreshing sweet-tart and mildly acidic flavor. One of its strongest features is its storage life where its apples can keep for 3 to 4 months in a cool environment. Requires another compatable apple or crabapple tree variety nearby to produce fruit. For highest yield and best bloom, plant in full sun.
