Pembina Plum
Description
The Pembina Plum is a highly popular, cold hardy hybrid plum specifically bred for challenging Canadian climates. It produces large fruit that typically ripens from late August to early September with a dark red skin, and bright yellow orange, firm, and extremely sweet and juicy flesh, while the thick skin is slightly tart. This variety produces fragrant white blossoms in early spring and grows with an upright, vase like or rounded shape making it perfect for any yard. Pembina Plum is not self pollinating and requires a different variety nearby to set fruit which include the Toka Plum, Brookred Plum, or the Wild American Plum. Plant in full sun for best results.
