Gemini Apple
Description
The Gemini Apple is a cold hardy dessert apple. It was developed in Saskatchewan as a cross between the Norland and Haralson varieties. The tree features clusters of white flowers with a hint of pink that emerge from red flower buds in mid spring. The early to mid season apple, typically ripening in late August, is medium to large and has bright red skin over a pale yellow base, with yellow streaks. Apples from this variety can be stored for 2–3 months in a cool place or refrigerator. Requires another compatable apple or crabapple tree variety nearby to produce fruit. For highest yield and best bloom, plant in full sun.
