Casino Apricot
Description
The Casino Apricot is a cold hardy fruit tree specifically developed for Canadian climates. It is valued for its ability to withstand temperatures in Zone 3, making it one of the few apricot varieties that can thrive in harsher northern climates. It produces medium sized, golden yellow fruit with a red blush, typically ripening in mid to late August. The flesh is described as meaty and smooth, excellent for fresh eating, canning, or making jams. While often considered self-pollinating, its yield and reliability are improved when planted near a different variety like Nanking Cherry.
