Brookgold Plum
Description
The Brookgold Plum is a highly cold hardy, Japanese hybrid plum developed in Brooks, Alberta, and is known for its reliability in harsh northern environments and its early ripening fruit. It produces fragrant white blossoms in early spring and small to medium sized, golden yellow freestone fruit with tender skin typically ready from early to mid August. The flesh is soft, juicy, and exceptionally sweet. This variety is self sterile and requires a pollinator. Compatible partners include the Nanking Cherry, Toka Plum, Canada Plum, or Wild American Plum. Requires full sun for best results.
