Description
The Green Wall Spire Crabapple is a relatively new, highly columnar ornamental tree designed for tight spaces and vertical accents. It features a very narrow, columnar growth habit with strictly upright branches with glossy, dark green leaves throughout summer that turn a coppery bronze or yellow in the fall. Showy pink buds open into fragrant white spring blossoms which produce small bright red fruit that is persistent, meaning it stays on the tree into winter rather than falling and creating a mess. Ideal as a privacy screen or hedge when planted in rows. Requires full sun for best flowering and fruit production.
